The NonProfit Training
Institute
When some
people think about nonprofit organizations, they think of art
museums and symphonies. Some think of large national or
international public charities that have become recognized
institutions. Others think of small community groups offering
job training programs or soup kitchens feeding the homeless.
At the
NonProfit Training Institute (NPTI), we think of all of these.
We also think of the Underground Railroad and the Civil Rights
Movement. And we think of churches, schools and
people--organizing to assist the elderly, the young and the
handicapped. Then we think of people walking out into their
communities and, along with seeing needs, they see a vision of
how they might work to address those needs. Then they help
others to see the vision and become inspired to join them in the
work. From joblessness to hopelessness, from economic
development to social outreach, and from health care to elderly
care, the Nonprofit Training Institute serves the needs of
committed visionaries who dream of making a positive impact on
the problems in their communities. NPTI works to make dreams
become a reality. The visionaries start with a vision and a
commitment to give birth to a missionary endeavor. We hold
their hands and help them deliver.
The Mission of
the NonProfit Training Institute is to promote excellence in the
establishment and continued survival of viable community
organizations. NPTI accomplishes this by providing technical
assistance and training for emerging, new and established
nonprofits and by advocating the adoption of professional ethics
and standards for community organizations. In addition, NPTI
encourages volunteerism and sponsorship for the most worthy
community endeavors.
The
NonProfit Training Institute is an Internal Revenue Service
recognized 501©(3) public charity based in Atlanta, Georgia

The Community
Referrals Membership Program offers the
BEST Opportunity for
Free Training!
Community Referrals Membership Program
The NonProfit
Training Institute (NPTI) recently launched its new
Community Referrals Membership Program to
help community leaders qualify for free NPTI
Training and Technical Support. With the help of
Community Referral Credits
(CRC’s), community leaders and other non
profit professionals seeking help to acquire 501(c)(3)
status for their organizations, grantwriting skills and
other professional development training will be able to
join NPTI and as members accumulate credit for referrals
that can be used to pay for their training fees.
In addition to
accumulating CRC’s, NPTI membership provides a 5%
discount on training fees and a 50% discount on the cost
of registration for NPTI’s Annual GCESCO Training
Conference. The cost of a
one year membership in The
NonProfit Training Institute is only $25.00.
By becoming a
member of NPTI and encouraging five other nonprofit
professionals like themselves to also become members,
individuals will each qualify for $300 in CRC credits.
This is a Class 1 CRC Level. Once each of their five
members encourage five nonprofit professionals to become
NPTI members, this
Extended Referral Community (ERC)
qualifies the individual for $1500 more in CRC credits,
the Class 2 CRC Level. At the same time, each of the
five members qualify for $300 in CRC credits, the Class
1 CRC Level.
Once each of the
twenty-five members encourage their five nonprofit
professionals to become NPTI members, this Extended
Referral Community (ERC) qualifies the individual
for $2500 total in CRC credits, the Class 3 CRC Level.
At the same time, the ERC’s of each of the twenty-five
members qualify them for $1500 more in CRC credits, the
Class 2 CRC Level.
Current NPTI
members may use Community Referral Credits (CRC’s) to
pay for any of the training classes offered by NPTI
during the regular academic year. This includes
the 501(c)(3) Workshop, any of the classes of the Community
Organization Leadership Certification Program,
additional grantwriting classes, fundraising classes and
other classes. It does not include GCESCO training
classes offered during the Annual Conference.
As long as they
remain NPTI members, acquired CRC’s may be applied to
pay for NPTI training up to five years. CRC’s may also
be transferred for use by other current members with the
written permission of the transferring member.
